Resource One Credit Union Teaches Employees Valuable Skills with the Introduction to Leadership Course
Resource One Credit Union employees take the Introduction to Leadership course preparing them to learn the differences in managing and leading.
DALLAS, TX (December 19, 2016)
Resource One Credit Union annually provides a three-month training class to teach employees the difference between managing and leading called Introduction to Leadership. The goal for the Introduction to Leadership course is to teach employees how to communicate effectively with their team as a leader, not just a manager. This class has been provided to educate employees on how to efficiently and positively lead their team to success.
The Introduction to Leadership course uses assignments to instill proper leadership techniques ranging from “Being a Successful Supervisor” to “Conflict Management”. The coursework requires employees to take tests and written assignments containing well thought out responses and a high level of professionalism. All assignments are reviewed with each participant and their Introduction to Leadership mentor. Introduction to Leadership graduate Monisa Aguirre responded, “Resource One provides programs like these to their employees not only teach you innovative ideas about your job or your workplace, but also help you learn about the people around the community you serve.”
The Introduction to Leadership program mentors were: Director of Sales and Service Kyle Brisendine, Director of Sales and Service Mike Tambourine and Director of Cultural Enhancement Phillip Crocker.
The Introduction to Leadership graduates from November 2016 include: Call Center Assistant Branch Manager Steve Johnson, North Garland Branch Senior BSR Chouie Almora, Accounting Clerk Natalie West, New Hire Trainer Patricia Rodriguez, East Dallas Branch Senior BSR Angie Torres, Irving Branch Assistant Branch Manager Carla Chavez (Graduate with Honors), Marketing Events Coordinator, Dustie Donihoo (Graduate with Honors), Mesquite Branch Senior BSR Monisa Aguirre (Graduate with Honors), Southside Branch Assistant Branch Manager Iris Montemayor, and Member Solutions Lead Keshia Clinton.
