Fraud Prevention Hub

Utilize the insights, articles, and resources provided here to help safeguard your identity and protect your personal information.

We’re dedicated to your security, with advanced physical and digital banking measures designed to keep you safe.

We utilize advanced fraud monitoring tools that actively monitor your account for any suspicious transactions or activity, helping to protect you from potential fraud. If we detect unusual spending patterns—such as transactions from unexpected locations or out-of-the-ordinary purchases—we may temporarily block or hold a transaction until we can verify its validity.

To avoid any interruptions while traveling, we recommend informing us of your travel plans, even if you’re just a few states away from home. You can easily notify us by sending a secure message through the mobile app or online banking, or by calling us at 800-375-3674.

The Resource One website, mobile app, and other digital channels use protocols to ensure that data transmissions are secure.

You can register your computers or mobile devices with us, so we’ll know when your account is being accessed from unauthorized equipment; we’ll then ask additional security questions to confirm that it really is you accessing the account.

Resource One credit and debit cards have EMV smart chips, the global standard for card security. Resource One debit cards also feature contactless technology; simply tap to pay at checkout for an added layer of protection against fraud.

Your Resource One credit and debit cards are compatible with mobile payment wallets like Apple Pay®, Google Pay™, and Samsung Pay™, which use tokenization to provide additional security. Use your Resource One debit or credit card to pay for purchases using these mobile payment apps or other digital wallets like PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo.

Resource One accounts are insured by the NCUA for up to $250,000 – providing the same benefits as FDIC insurance for a bank account.

Resource One has physical, electronic, and procedural privacy safeguards in place that comply with federal regulations and are in keeping with industry best practices. Learn more about how we protect your personal information by reading our privacy policy.

Mobile banking safety tips

Only download apps for your device on trusted sources such as the Apple App Store and Google Play. This will protect you against fake and malicious apps that may target your data.

Add your Resource debit or credit card to mobile payment apps that use tokenization – like Apple Pay®, Google Pay™, or Samsung Pay™. Every time you pay using the mobile payment app instead of your physical card, you help shield your card number from fraud.

In case your mobile device is lost or stolen, you should be able to remotely wipe your data to prevent unauthorized access. Install and configure an app that will let you remotely locate and wipe your phone (for example, “Find My iPhone” or “Find My Android”).
